PL Top Pitcher for August Picked Sunday, September 1st, 2024 Over the past month Sawao Yoshimura has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Pacific League. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles posted 3-0 mark and a 3.15 ERA. In 4 starts he tossed 20 innings, permitted 13 hits and fanned 25 batters. So far this season, Yoshimura has logged a 8-0 record with a 2.91 ERA. He has started 12 games, hurled 65 innings and registered 72 strikeouts and 26 walks. |
