Hawks Chill Rossi's Hot Streak Saturday, July 20th, 2024 Yan Rossi, shortstop for the Saitama Seibu Lions, gave it a good try, but his day in history finally came to an end, when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. Not only had they stopped his 20-game hitting streak, they had beaten Saitama Seibu 5-3, too. Speaking with the media after the game, Rossi said, "Now that the streak has ended, I admit I will breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat. It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." Rossi is currently hitting at a .356 pace with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
