Super Swinger -- Xiang Slams 5 Hits Thursday, July 18th, 2024 Today the Dragons downed the Bay Stars 8-3 as Jang-lu Xiang sprayed hits all over Cuckoos Stadium in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats. The Chunichi first baseman said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them." Jang-lu Xiang singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season Xiang is hitting .352 with 5 home runs. |
