Just ask Toki Kimura, who put together a stellar month out of the pen. The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks reliever, 19, kept the opposition off balance all month as he held them to a .217 average and walked away with the Pacific League Pitcher of the Month award for May. Kimura posted a 5-0 mark and a 0.79 ERA in 12 relief appearances. In 22.2 innings, he had 1 save, 16 strikeouts, and 8 walks.
