Central Division Won: Tigers On Top Sunday, May 26th, 2024 The champagne was flowing in the Hanshin Tigers clubhouse today, as men quickly transformed into boys with the realization that the club had clinched the Central Division. "We can relax a bit, for now anyway," said manager Ken Lange. "I'm proud of every guy in the room for what we've done this season." The club has a 27-17 record as they head towards the playoffs in search of their 2nd Japan Series Championship championship. Starting Pitcher Dong-kwan Kim said the team is happy to clinch what is the club's 2nd division title, but "wouldn't be happy until we're lifting that trophy." |
