Mengal Wins PL Player of the Week Honors Monday, May 13th, 2024 Over the past week, Aftab Mengal has feasted on Pacific League pitching. Today the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks first baseman gobbled up the league's latest Player of the Week Award. Mengal swung the bat with purpose all week as he collected a .667 average, 6 hits in 9 at-bats, 3 home runs, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. So far in 2024 Mengal is batting .337 with 21 home runs, 51 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 57 hits in 169 at-bats and a .462 OBP. |
