Rowdy Players Suspended by League Saturday, May 11th, 2024 Baseball officials have notified the Giants and Swallows organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Yomiuri-Tokyo Yakult contest at Ballpark of Yamagata College. Anujestha Puri of the Giants and Chut-sai Choi of the Swallows will have to sit out 6 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl. Thus far this season Puri has hit .339 with 9 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 31 times. In 11 starts this season Choi has crafted a 1-4 record with a 2.96 ERA. |
