Rin and Okubo Suspended 3 Games Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 Today the league office handed out 3-game suspensions to Hirofumi Rin of the Hawks and Hisato Okubo of the Buffaloes for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at Ballpark of Aomori College yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." For the season, Rin is hitting at a .318 clip with 18 home runs, 45 RBIs and has scored 37 runs. He has 48 hits, 25 walks and a .418 on-base percentage. This season Okubo has 8 wins and 1 loss and a 2.79 ERA. |
