2023 #1 Batter Chosen By PL Monday, September 25th, 2023 Zhao-ying Gai of the Saitama Seibu Lions had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Silver Slugger Award for 2023. The 20-year-old left fielder put up a .346 average and a .451 on-base percentage, piling up 80 hits, 11 doubles, 1 triple, 26 home runs, 64 RBIs and 63 runs scored.Tetsuzan Araki of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters finished second in voting, while Yeong-il Kim of the ORIX Buffaloes finished third. |
