CL's Top Player, Sai of Hanshin Monday, August 21st, 2023 When it came to hitting the baseball, Masayoshi Sai was in a class by himself in the Central League this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding right fielder for Hanshin tagged opposing pitchers for a .571 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 8 hits in 14 at-bats, 2 homers, 6 runs scored and 5 RBIs. Sai is presently hitting at a .298 pace with 13 home runs, 44 RBIs and has scored 31 times. |
