PL Awards Player of the Week Monday, August 7th, 2023 Not every ball that came off Hirofumi Rin's bat last week was a line drive or a towering shot -- it just seemed that way to the teams that played the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. For his exploits, Rin was named this week's Pacific League Player of the Week award. The Fukuoka SoftBank first baseman put up 6 hits in 18 at-bats and 4 home runs while hitting .333 with 11 RBIs and 6 runs scored. Presently Rin is hitting .359 with 16 home runs and 41 RBIs.
