League Punishes Pair for Fighting Wednesday, July 26th, 2023 Hidemichi Kojima of the Yokohama Bay Stars and Hiroshi Hayashi of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp got into a wrestling match yesterday at Cuckoos Stadium and now must pay the consequences for violating league rules. They have both been assessed 10-game suspensions by the league for inciting the heated altercation between the two clubs. Kojima is presently hitting at a .164 pace with 3 home runs and 9 RBIs. He has played in 20 games and scored 12 times. Thus far this season, Hayashi has tossed 25.1 innings in 6 starts, fanned 15 batters, walked 24 and put up a 8.17 ERA with 1 win and 3 losses. |
