PL Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 3rd, 2023 18-year-old Rikyu Miyamoto made a few Saitama Seibu headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Pacific League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 4 hits in 7 at-bats to put up a .571 average. Miyamoto collected 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Miyamoto is hitting .231 for the season with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 6 hits in 26 at-bats and played in 7 games. |
