Kiyonori Nakashima out of Lineup 6 Months Sunday, June 18th, 2023 The Swallows received bad news this morning. Kiyonori Nakashima will miss 6 months due to a concussion. He sustained the injury in the Tokyo Yakult-Hiroshima Toyo game while making a defensive play. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Nakashima sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." So far on the season Nakashima is hitting .381 with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has 8 hits and played in 6 games. |
