Kim, Shimizu Suspended for Fracas Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 Yeong-il Kim of ORIX and Tokugawa Shimizu of Hanshin were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. They will both miss 5 games because of their fight. League officials announced their suspensions today. In 21 games this season Kim has compiled a .276 batting average with 21 hits and 9 home runs. He has also scored 15 times and knocked in 25 runs. In 2023 Shimizu has totaled 8 relief appearances and saved 1. His record is 2-0 with 13 strikeouts in 9 innings and a 3.00 ERA. |
