Tong Wins CL Player of the Week Honors Monday, April 3rd, 2023 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the Central League, but last week Du-yang Tong of the Yokohama Bay Stars reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Tong rocked opposing pitching for a .500 average (7-14), 2 home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. Tong is swinging at a .315 pace on the year with 4 home runs, 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played in 18 games. |
