De Jesús 5-6 Against Carp Sunday, April 2nd, 2023 Yokohama left fielder Ramón De Jesús put on quite a show at Cuckoos Stadium with a big 5-hit day in the 20-1 victory over the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. In the postgame interview, he said with a smile, "Not a bad day at the plate, 5 for 6.. Wish I could do this more often. It would do wonders for my batting average ... and my salary, too." Ramón De Jesús singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mashashi Yoshida in the 6th and singled in the 8th. A look at his current stats shows De Jesús with a .410 average, 5 home runs, 14 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has played in 18 games. |
