Hawks Lose Shigemasa Ikarashi Saturday, July 16th, 2022 Disappointing news today for Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks fans. Shigemasa Ikarashi was hurt running the bases in their game against the Chiba Lotte Marines and has a torn posterior cruciate ligament. Team trainers were hesitant to predict a date for return but said it was likely the injury will keep the right fielder out at least 6 months. So far on the season Ikarashi is hitting .225 with 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 16 hits and played in 18 games. |
