Higashi Selected Top Player Monday, June 13th, 2022 Masaharu Higashi punched, poked and pummeled the baseball last week and today he garnered a majority of the votes for the Central League Player of the Week award. The Tokyo Yakult Swallows catcher slashed out a .800 average with 8 hits in 10 at-bats, 2 home runs and 2 RBIs. So far in 2022 Higashi is batting .338 with 21 home runs, 54 RBIs and 59 runs scored. He has 71 hits in 210 at-bats and a .458 OBP. |
