League Suspends Issam and Imai for Fisticuffs Thursday, April 21st, 2022 It was a pretty intense fight, so Haitham Issam and Takahashi Imai were both suspended today for 8 games for their part in a brawl which happened in a game between the Chiba Lotte Marines and the Yokohama Bay Stars at Ballpark of Nasu College. Issam said, "Luckily nobody was hurt. I think we both overreacted to the situation." This season Issam is batting .225 with 2 home runs. He has scored 10 runs and driven in 7. To date this year in 5 starts, Imai has crafted a 2-1 mark with a 5.79 ERA. |
