Lalitesh Strokes 5 Hits Tuesday, March 22nd, 2022 It was a sensational day at the plate for Jagnu Lalitesh as he led the charge to a 7-2 win over the Fighters. The Fukuoka SoftBank third baseman was pure misery for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham pitching staff. He left them shellshocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. The manager for the Fighters told BNN reporters after the game, "Lalitesh put the ball into play. He really hit it hard. When you do that, you've got a pretty good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some pretty good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Jagnu Lalitesh singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Currently Lalitesh is batting .479 with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
