Barrage of Hits Gets Villa PL Award Monday, August 16th, 2021 Juan Villa stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Pacific League Player of the Week honors. The Tohoku Rakuten first baseman ripped opposing pitchers for 11 hits in 14 at-bats and 1 home run. He put together a sizzling .786 batting average as he knocked in 5 runs and scored 3 times. Villa is batting .456 this year with 8 home runs, 34 RBIs and 42 runs scored. He has 68 hits in 149 at-bats. |
