Central League's Best Batter Announced Monday, April 12th, 2021 According to the voters, Apupa Vuppula of the Yomiuri Giants had the best week of all Central League hitters as he was named this week's Player of the Week. The second baseman's accomplishments include 9 hits in 13 at-bats, a .692 batting average, no home runs, 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. For the season Vuppula is batting .411 with 37 hits and 1 home run.
