Hit Parade: Panyala Gets Cycle Wednesday, April 7th, 2021 At Frogs Ballpark today Kuldip Panyala grabbed a piece of baseball history, when he hit for the cycle and added his name to the record book. But the Bay Stars took a little gloss off of his shine, when they grabbed a 12-10 victory over the Carp. For the day Panyala went 4 for 10 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. "I felt comfortable at the plate in a way I haven't felt all season," Panyala said after the game. "It was like they were throwing beach balls at me. The ball seemed that big to me. And it just floated in." Kuldip Panyala hit a solo-shot off Lao-che Chen in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, flied out in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th, struck out in the 14th, doubled in the 17th and grounded out in the 18th. For the season, Panyala is hitting at a .297 clip with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and has scored 16 runs. He has 27 hits, 13 walks and a .385 on-base percentage. |
