PL Player of the Week Awarded Monday, April 5th, 2021 So far in his young career, Yu Qiu has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pacific League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 17-year-old ORIX Buffaloes catcher hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 10 hits in 20 at-bats, 3 home runs, 7 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Posting a .500 batting average to date, Qiu has 3 home runs and 7 RBIs. |
