Kaneko Unleashes Tirade Against Media During Press Conference Saturday, March 27th, 2021 Yokohama Bay Stars manager, Yoshifumi Kaneko, wasn't happy with his team or the local media. Pressured for answers to better understand his team's performance, Kaneko let go of all reason in a profanity-laced tirade to the media, his own team, and anyone within earshot. "You know, it doesn't help the situation when you people are shoving microphones down our throats looking for answers! Well, this is your answer - I don't have one! We're doing all we can out there. Some players are pulling their weight, but others are not. They have enough pressure on their own, and then all of you don't make it any better. They just have to work out of it themselves." When it was commented that Kaneko wasn't doing a good enough job of motivating his players, his time bomb went off. "Oh, that's a bunch of [expletive], and you know it. Players motivate themselves. I'm happy to take the blame most of the time, but not for that. That's not my [expletive] job!" At that point, Kaneko walked out of the press conference. |
