Mansel Wins LBL 2025 Silver Slugger Award Monday, June 2nd, 2025 At the age of 19, Camden Mansel of the Niagara Stars could very well have his best years ahead of him. It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2025 was good enough to win the first baseman the Lester B. Person League Silver Slugger Award. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach." The top hitter put up a .368 batting average this year, as well as a .454 on-base percentage. He played 60 games and racked up 92 hits, 13 doubles, 1 triple, 31 home runs, 68 RBIs and 65 runs scored. Jon Miron of the Victoria Capitals finished second in voting, while Andy Sabean of the Niagara Stars finished third. |
