Injury Forces Austin Brereton Out Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 "I'm frustrated right now," said Montreal starting pitcher Austin Brereton. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Royales, that's where he will be spending 12 months. Brereton suffered a stretched elbow ligament in today's game against Calgary while throwing a pitch. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." This year Brereton has fanned 41 in 41.2 innings and collected a 1-6 record with a 6.91 ERA. |
