London Third Baseman Picked LBL Player of the Week Monday, April 28th, 2025 London fans have something to crow about today as London third baseman Jim Burry nabbed the Lester B. Person League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Burry. He posted a .588 average (10-for-17) this past week with 2 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 8 runs scored. In 2025 Burry has hit at a .331 clip with 60 hits, 19 home runs, 55 RBIs and has scored 51 times. |
