3 Roundtrippers for Miron
Wednesday, April 9th, 2025
Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Jon Miron of Victoria can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Drummondville College Grounds against the Niagara Stars.
In all he was 3-for-5 as the Capitals toppled Niagara 14-8, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 3 times.
Miron told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one."
His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air."
Jon Miron struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ralph Atkinson in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Lindsay Lilly in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
On the season, Miron is batting .274 with 12 home runs and 30 RBIs. He has played in 34 games.
