Outlaws Starting Pitcher Gillespie Hurt Saturday, April 5th, 2025 Calgary fans held their breath as Mike Gillespie left yesterday's Royales-Outlaws contest with an injury. After the game, the team's medical staff said that the 19-year-old starting pitcher had suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. It's estimated that he will be out 17 months. Gillespie has posted a 0-4 record for the year with a 8.10 ERA. Teams are hitting .289 against him and he has rung up 23 strikeouts in 26.2 innings. |
