Petipas Bangs 3 HR Against Calgary Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 Three home runs in a game doesn't happen often. When it does it is something special to celebrate. And Bill Petipas of Victoria can celebrate it. He is now a member of the select group of players, who have hit three home runs in a single game. He powered three into the stands today at Corvettes Ballpark against the Calgary Outlaws. In all he was 4-for-4 as the Capitals toppled Calgary 10-3, knocking in 5 runs and scoring 4 times. Petipas told reporters after the game, "It's rare that you actually try to hit a home run. Most of the time you fail, if you really try to hit one. But today I tried on the last one." His manager added, "He is blessed with a natural home run swing. He gets the ball up in the air." Bill Petipas hit a two-run home run off Zee-loo Ran in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Zee-loo Ran in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Zee-loo Ran in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and walked in the 8th. |
