LBL Presents Batter of Month Trophy to Covey Wednesday, May 1st, 2024 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 19, George Covey has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Montreal Royales star can enjoy the numbers he put upin April, which have garnered him the nod as the Lester B. Person League Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .398 average with 16 home runs, 48 RBIs and 32 runs scored. This year Covey is batting .329 with 25 home runs. |
