5-Hit Blitz by Covey Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024 George Covey really sizzled at the plate in today's 12-6 win over Heat. The Montreal first baseman blistered Kelowna for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Covey was too tough to get out today," the Heat skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." George Covey hit a solo-shot off Lynn Blanchard in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Way-ming Zha in the 8th. Currently Covey has 22 home runs and a .320 batting average. |
