Oakes Selected LBL's Top Batter Saturday, June 10th, 2023 John Oakes of the Kelowna Heat enjoyed a gourmet season at the dish in 2023. With the numbers he put up, there was little doubt that he'd be taking home the Lester B. Person League Silver Slugger Award. He put up 116 hits in 248 at-bats for a .468 average while amassing 23 doubles, no triples, 33 home runs, 37 walks, a .542 on-base percentage, 83 RBIs and 85 runs scored.Éloi Teissier of the Calgary Outlaws finished second in voting, while Jérémy Robin of the Calgary Outlaws finished third. |
