Oakes's Hit Streak Reaches 25 Games Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 John Oakes has been ripping hits every day for quite some time, and no team seems to be able to stop him. The Kelowna second baseman got 3 hits today against the Niagara Stars and now has a 25-game hitting streak. The Heat won the game 12-3. John Oakes walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. In 51 games this year Oakes has posted a .458 average and put up these numbers: 28 home runs, 72 RBIs and 74 runs scored. |
