LBL's #1 Player, Oakes of Kelowna Monday, April 17th, 2023 John Oakes kept his eye on the ball last week and now all eyes are on him. The Kelowna Heat second baseman easily swung his way to the Lester B. Person League Player of the Week Award with 15 hits in 28 at-bats. Oakes hit .536 last week with 5 home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored. This season Oakes is swinging the bat at a .447 rate with 72 hits in 161 at-bats. To date he has hit 22 home runs, scored 53 runs and driven in 50. |
