LBL Trophy Goes to Fernández of Montreal Monday, April 10th, 2023 Gonzalo Fernández burst onto the Lester B. Person League stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie third baseman for Montreal garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy. The 19-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .500 (11-22) with 4 home runs and 9 RBIs last week. Thus far in 2023 Fernández is hitting .361 with 9 home runs, 32 RBIs, 29 runs scored and has compiled a .483 OBP. |
