Lewis and Owens Fight, Get Suspended Sunday, March 19th, 2023 There was a heated confrontation yesterday at Ballpark of Red Deer College between the Legends and Stars that resulted in ejections and suspensions. Wayne Lewis of Saskatoon and Al Owens of Niagara were issued 8-game suspensions by the league office for initiating the on-field disturbance. For the year Lewis is batting .229 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 9 runs scored. This season Owens has notched no saves. In 7 relief appearances, he has 2 strikeouts in 2 innings with a 63.00 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 0-2. |
