It was snapped today in the Saints 2-0 setback to the Heat. dejong went without a hit in 3 trips to the plate. Talking to BNN after the game he was visibly upset. But the streak had little to do with it. "I'm disappointed we lost, I'm not one bit disappointed that the streak ended," dejong said. "The hitting streak was just one of those things where it was fun while it lasted, but I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight." This season dejong has hit at a .325 clip with 48 RBIs, 12 home runs and 44 runs scored. He has played in 55 games. |
