Flores Hitless, Streak Ends at 21 Sunday, April 10th, 2022 Saskatoon right fielder Javier Flores experienced something against the London Monarchs he hadn't experienced in his last 21 games: a hitless game. The Monarchs pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Legends to a 7-6 victory at Ballpark of Red Deer College. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 21-game hitting streak. Now you sportswriters will have to find someone else to bother for stories," Flores kiddingly told them after the game. Flores is batting at a .327 pace this season, picking up 35 hits in 107 at-bats with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and 24 runs scored. |
