LBL Star of the Week Announced Monday, March 28th, 2022 17-year-old Edgar Téllez made a few Montreal headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Lester B. Person League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 31 at-bats to put up a .355 average. Téllez collected 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and scored 11 runs. So far in 2022 Téllez is batting .356 with 10 home runs, 27 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 32 hits in 90 at-bats and a .448 OBP. |
