Cornell Picked Best LBL Pitcher Sunday, June 13th, 2021 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Brad Cornell performed like a veteran on the hill for the London Monarchs and walked away with the Lester B. Person League Cy Young Award in the process. The 17-year-old Monarchs star fashioned a 7-1 won-loss record in 2021 with a 3.18 ERA. In 82 innings of work and 13 starts, Cornell struck out 97 while giving up 67 hits and 20 walks. He held opposing batters to a .220 average.Sonny Larson of the London Monarchs finished second in voting, while Jacob Willard of the London Monarchs finished third. |
