Márquez Nixed as Manager by Capitals Wednesday, June 2nd, 2021 Tony Márquez was fired as manager of the Victoria Capitals today. Márquez was told of the decision during a 30-minute meeting with the club's general manager, who told BNN, "Tony was disappointed with the news, but understood that a change was needed." Later at a press conference Márquez told reporters, "I thank the Capitals organization for giving me the opportunity and am proud of my accomplishments in Victoria." |
