Stars Chill Pittman's Hot Streak
Friday, May 7th, 2021
It was the best of both worlds for the Niagara Stars today at Brantford College Grounds as they defeated the Kelowna Heat 15-5 and also ended Jon Pittman's 21-game hitting streak. The 17-year-old Kelowna right fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Jon, we just wanted to win the game," said the victorious Stars skipper. "We did a great job keeping him off balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Pittman frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about my streak ending, but I would feel much better about things if we had won the game."

In his 2021 season totals, Pittman has 11 home runs, .387 BA, .462 OBP, 38 RBIs and 68 runs scored.
