Wilson Slams 5 Hits for Trois-Rivieres Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 It was high-5 day at Blue Wings Ballpark, at least for Kyle Wilson of the Trois-Rivieres Saints. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Victoria Capitals. Wilson smashed 5 hits in 7 at-bats on his record-setting day, leading his club to a 42-4 win. His manager said, "Kyle was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him." In the other dugout the opposing manager told BNN beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine." Kyle Wilson doubled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Javier Vázquez in the 8th. Currently Wilson has 9 home runs and a .326 batting average. |
