Victoria's Armstrong Down with Injury
Thursday, March 25th, 2021
The Capitals received bad news this morning. Bob Armstrong will miss 12-13 months due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament. He sustained the injury in the Victoria-Trois-Rivieres game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Armstrong sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery."
Running the numbers on Armstrong for the year, he has made 7 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 1-2 won-lost mark with a 9.28 ERA. In pitching 10.2 innings, he has totaled 11 strikeouts and 9 walks.
