Jerram Slaps 5 Hits
Monday, March 8th, 2021
There are moments in a player's career that are etched into their memories forever. Stephen Jerram of the London Monarchs had one of those moments when he went 5 for 6 at the plate today in the 21-5 win over the Trois-Rivieres Saints at Hatchets Ballpark. The 17-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview, "This is a day I won't forget soon, but I'll settle to just get a hit or two every day... enough hits to hang around the league a little bit longer... like 10... 15 more years maybe." Stephen Jerram hit a solo-shot off Jason Evans in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
