Top RDL Pitcher Announced Sunday, May 18th, 2025 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season John Witt performed like a veteran on the hill for the Long Beach State 49'ers and walked away with the Rod Dedeaux League Cy Young Award in the process. The 21-year-old 49'ers star fashioned a 5-1 won-loss record in 2025 with a 1.16 ERA. In 62 innings of work and 10 starts, Witt struck out 78 while giving up 40 hits and 14 walks. He held opposing batters to a .179 average. Juan Galindo of the Texas Longhorns finished second in voting, while Beau Miller of the California Golden Bears finished third. |
