Strode Scores SBL Best Hurler Honors Sunday, May 18th, 2025 The Cy Young Award for 2025 has been presented and the Skip Bertman League winner is Garry Strode of Florida State. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Strode. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Seminoles star told reporters. Strode excelled with an impressive 4-1 record in 11 starts. In 69 innings he yielded 42 hits and 8 walks, while striking out 83 and compiling a fine 1.43 ERA. Dylan Wilson of the Oklahoma State Cowboys finished second in voting, while Steve Ferguson of the Clemson Tigers finished third. |
